sendmail - A widely used Mail Transport Agent (MTA)

License: Sendmail
Vendor: repo
The Sendmail program is a very widely used Mail Transport Agent (MTA).
MTAs send mail from one machine to another. Sendmail is not a client
program, which you use to read your email. Sendmail is a
behind-the-scenes program which actually moves your email over
networks or the Internet to where you want it to go.

If you ever need to reconfigure Sendmail, you will also need to have
the sendmail-cf package installed. If you need documentation on
Sendmail, you can install the sendmail-doc package.

Packages [916 KiB] Changelog by Paul Howarth (2017-03-25):
- Removed systemd limit for sendmail restarts to workaround failure due to
rapid restarts caused by NetworkManager dispatcher script (#1422771)
- Also removed the systemd restart limit from the sm-client service (#1422771)
- Explicitly enabled sm-client statistics (#890585)
- Fixed compilation with -Werror=format-security, which seems to be the
  default in f27+
