#acl PaulHowarth:read, write, admin, revert, delete All:read === Tuesday 10th April 2007 === ==== Local Packages ==== * Updated `dovecot` to 1.0.rc31 and added a `dovecot-devel` package with the headers and config script needed to build plugins; I note with dismay that the official Fedora `dovecot` package fails to follow the FedoraProject:Packaging/NamingGuidelines regarding pre-release packages - this is not something I'm going to do with my own package * Updated `perl-MailTools` to 1.76 ==== Fedora Project ==== * Updated `perl-MailTools` to 1.76 (Rawhide only for now) * Updated `imlib` in Rawhide and FC-6 to include a patch for CVE-2004-1025 and CVE-2004-1026 (Bug #235416), which are buffer overflows; these are pretty old issues really and it's surprising that fixes went into RHEL but not Fedora Core at the time ==== Car Update ==== Sent off documentation for the insurance claim: vehicle registration document, MOT & Insurance certificates plus copies of both of our driving licenses to the insurer, and Section 9 (sale of vehicle to a motor trader) of the vehicle registration document to the DVLA in Swansea. The notes on the vehicle registration document say that the motor trader must by law sign the document but the insurance company wanted me to send it straight to the DVLA. The DVLA's website says that they have a special understanding with the insurance industry so the whole registration document can be sent to the insurer, who can fill in the form, sign it and forward it to the DVLA, bit that's not what the insurer asked me to do. So I eventually got through the queue on the DVLA's customer service helpline and was told that it was OK to send the document to them without the signature, and that's what I ended up doing. It would be nice if there wasn't conflicting information about this procedure (which is very commonly used of course) on the documents and the websites... The dealer supplying the new car called up today to introduce themselves. It'll have at least 200 miles on the clock at delivery as they're not exactly local to Manchester, but they are, as promised, a main Toyota dealership (listed on the Toyota UK website). ----
